7. Today Is My Day

Wedding is a theme that any Congolese musician comes across at one point or another. It is almost systematic, and luckily, Deborah is no exception to the rule. This time around though, the song and its video clip celebrate her real wedding. Indeed, Debbie got married to M. Kaseba in July 2018, and released the single “Today is my day”. Style-wise, this is a very western-like slow. I doubt people would frequently use it as wedding intro song, but I also doubt that was the point.
