About Atele
Atele Kunianga is a singer composer and interpreter from the Democratic Republic of the Congo. A music career started at Tout Furai band in Kinshasa while still studying electrical engineering. He therefore usually spent only two months maximum with the band. He then joined Talent Latent where he would meet and work with Fally Ipupa. After Talent Latent, Atele joined Empire Bakuba with Papy Tex, and finally Tabuley Rochereau’s Afrisa. He takes pride in being an Afrisa alumni, and calls himself last member to have officially joined the band before Rochereau’s passing.
In 2006, he would join the accompanying band of his friend and former colleague Fally Ipupa. He would become the group leader. Atele also joined Fally’s label F’Victeam Entertainment.
