Quick Snapshot Of Amanda Malela

Amanda Malela is a Belgium gospel singer, composer, and dancer from Congolese origin. She sang for a public audience for the first time during a jam and soul party. Artists at the party noticed her brilliant performance. Therefore, some of them started inviting her to collaborate on their projects. Amanda’s career includes collaborations with quite famous artists like Francis Cabrel, Eddy Mitchel, and Lara Fabian. In the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), her country of origin, she collaborated with gospel artist L’Or Mbongo on her first tour. Amanda’s acquaintances have long pressured her to pursue a solo career.

In 2018, after a composition session led by her friend Mike Moore, the team came up with Kumama. Kumama, or Kumbama, is the Lingala for “be praised”. The song was composed in a Nigerian fashion, with most of its lyrics in English. In an interview, Amanda revealed how the team pushed her to even adopt a Nigerian accent. The song became a hit, mainly on social networks, but also beyond. It has become a popular wedding entrance song. After Kumama, she released her single titled Hosanna. The main song also gathered a lot of attention and views on the internet.
